Hello There! This pattern is an easy beginner pattern. You will need to know four very basic techniques.
- How to create a slipknot.
- How to chain.
- How to SC or single crochet.
- How to end off and weave in ends.
Let's get started!
EASY BEGINNER CROCHET DISHCLOTH PATTERN
- Yarn (Worsted weight any color you choose!)
- A 5.0 MM Hook (Size 8)
Now, don't fret if you don't have this size hook or this size yarn. You can complete this project with any size, it will just be larger or smaller based on your hook and yarn.
8 inch square
Add'l Notes: This pattern is in US terminology
Make a slipknot and place it on your crochet hook.
ROUND 1: Chain 33
ROUND 2: SC in the third chain from the hook and across, Ch1 and turn (30)
ROUND 3: SC in each chain across, CH1 and turn (30) Repeat this pattern until the dishcloth measures square.
End off, on the last row do NOT Ch1 and turn. Pull out your hook and cut your yarn leaving a bit of a tail
Weave in ends.
You did it!
Now, since you're a noob (and that's okay!) if you need help with any of these steps. See this video from Mikey @ CrochetCrowd below (He's the BEST!).
